Charity

Charity is a key focus of Belaya Dacha Group. In 2003, Viktor Semyonov established charity fund “Narodnoye predpriyatie” (in literal translation – People’s enterprise) People’s Enterprise Charitable Foundation, providing targeted help to children, families in need, elderly people and persons with disabilities.

Belaya Dacha supports the construction and restoration of Orthodox churches. The construction of the Church of the Holy Great Martyr Victor at Damascus was completed in 2010 in Kotelniki, Moscow Region. This is the first and only church in Russia honouring the martyr Victor. The construction was blessed by Patriarch Alexy II of Moscow and All Russia. The church’s design follows the traditions of Old Russian architecture.

For many years, Belaya Dacha Group helped to restore another shrine: the 17th-century Church of Our Lady of Kazan. The original church was consecrated in August 1685 by Patriarch Joachim, with former Tsaritsa Natalya Naryshkina and Tsareviches Peter and Ivan in attendance. Centuries later, the restoration, the decoration of the vault, the erection of a training bell tower and the installation of a memorial cross to St. Macarius Nevsky have breathed spiritual life back into the church.

Another charitable initiative was the creation of the equestrian sports club, which serves as the basis for the “Belka” children’s sports school and the regional hippotherapy centre for children with disabilities. Classes for children are free. The school’s alumni successfully perform at international competitions held among Paralympians.
